Hey Lovelies,

I may have only just shared with all of you lovelies a new film, but I already have another to share with you lovelies! And this one is a documentary from the great minds at VICE!

Due out in November lovelies, the company along with Peccadillo Pictures, will be releasing ‘Chemsex’, a film all about the underworld of drugs and weekend-long sex parties, directed by Will Fairman and Max Gogarty.

Following a group of men, the film shows them as they battle with HIV, drug addiction and finding a place within the world, as well as the health worker who is trying to save them, as they live the chemsex lifestyle. With an all access look at their lives, including the parties and clinics in which they attend, the film shows the redemption and lives that the men are seeking.

Speaking about the new documentary, Peccadillo Pictures chairman, Tom Abell said, “We are pleased and excited to be working with VICE on bringing this powerful and current documentary to audiences around the UK and Ireland. The chemsex issue is relatively unknown amongst audiences and we hope that by bringing it to light, it will push more healthcare professionals like 56 Dean Street’s, David Stuart to take note and enable change.”

As well, Al Brown, Head of Video at VICE added, “VICE has always endeavoured to explore underreported and complex issues that involve incredible characters and human stories. After first reported in 2013 on the unprecedented rise in intravenous drug use in London’s gay party scene, we felt that story needed to be explored further.  VICE has always been huge admirer of Peccadillo Pictures and the films they’ve supported - given the subject matter, we couldn’t have found a better partner to release this important film with.”
