THE STATE OF THE ART CINEMA EXHIBITION IS BACK...

Good Afternoon Lovelies,

How are you all? I have been running around a bit this morning trying to get my dad ready, because he is going back to Italy where he is from for two weeks on a little holiday and I am now getting jealous aha!

However while he is away I have a few items planned and this is going to be one of the first things I am going to try and make sure I see, as the FDA have announced the return of the State of the Art Cinema exhibition, that will be free for all to see from the 21st July to the 7th August at The Coningsbury Gallery and on the 11th to the 28th August at the Strand Gallery.

Filled with posters and photo designs from a number of recent films, there is also going to be a LEGO cinema that was made just for the event for fans to enjoy. Each poster will be placed into sections, such as Family releases, Coming of Age stories, Action & Adventure, Comedy, Biographies & Documentaries, Thrills & Suspense and Britain on Screen which will show iconic images from UK and international based films.

And as a special edition this year the exhibition will also host a memories board, which will show a number of memories that the public have placed on the FDA website, looking back at their cinema visits or influential film moments.

Speaking about the exhibition, Lord Puttnam of Queensgate CBE, FDA President, said:  “FDA’s latest exhibition is a wonderfully dynamic showcase of the essential skills of designers and photographers in connecting films with audiences. A great poster catches the eye, tempts the mind and touches the heart, and I passionately hope this new collection will delight and inspire many visitors. It’s a timely reminder, as the peak holiday season approaches, that the cinema experience offers a vast array of pleasures.”

I went to the event last year lovelies and it was brilliant, so hopefully I can relive it this year with lots of you lovelies! Did any of you see it last year?
