Hey Lovelies,
With July already upon us and the sun shining with this
news, MUBI has decided to spread the sunshine even further with news that they
will be celebrating the career of Chris Marker, an incredible filmmaker, every
Wednesday, starting from today lovelies!
Beginning with a screening of ‘La Jetee’, the black and
white film was one of the most important science films of all time and explores
many moments that other films have tried to recreate since.
The event will then follow on and end with his
feature-length film, ‘The Case of the Grinning Cat’, a documentary that he used
his playful side for, as he looked at Paris during the millennium and the youth
that was protesting the Iraq war.
Both have now become huge pieces in film history lovelies, so don’t miss them!
