I am bringing a little bit more TV news this morning, don’t worry the film news is coming, but this is some big news for Netflix’s new show ‘Get Down’ created by Baz Luhrmann, as hip hop legend Grandmaster Flash has joined the team. 

Overlooking everything, the star will be an associate producer and advisor on the show, to help them get the complete story correct lovelies. He will be played within it by Mamoudou Athie, who will be joining them somewhere along the way. 

Speaking about Grandmaster Flash’s involvement, Baz Luhrmann said: “I can’t tell you just how much joy and great spirit we are getting from working with some of the founding fathers of the form. Not only in music, dance and graffiti but the culture of the time in general. The whole team is absolutely thrilled to have Grandmaster Flash on board.”
