GRADUATE FASHION WEEK IS COMING LOVELIES...

15:32:00

Hey Lovelies,

As many of you may know when I am not watching films, TV shows, blogging or reading I am finding the time to appreciate fashion and everything about it! I have a huge appreciation for artists and the people behind some of the greatest fashion moments have come from this event that I am about to tell you about.

Because from the 30th May until the 2nd June, the 24th Graduate Fashion Week along with George at Asda will be running for the second time at The Old Trueman Brewery, allowing the public to see the budding designers, photographers, talks and talents that will be leaving their mark on the fashion world very soon. Before ending on the 2nd June with a catwalk featuring the best work of the week.

As a charity the week helps to launch the careers of some big talents and previous faces include Christopher Bailey, Giles Deacon and Stella McCartney, as well as many more, which the 23 shows that are taking place throughout the week will hope to bring new talent like these to light, as over 60 universities take part in the event.

"Graduate Fashion Week is set to blast off on May 30th with four days of the most exciting and creative BA graduate collections in the world,” explains Hilary Alexander OBE, iconic British fashion writer and Graduate Fashion Week Trustee. “Sponsored by George at Asda, GFW is now celebrating its 24th year and stands tall as the largest single graduate fashion platform on Earth. This year we return to Truman Brewery, with a bigger exhibition space and two enlarged catwalks. Looking forward to seeing you there."

This year’s chairman, Mark-Newton Jones, CEO of Mothercare Plc also said: “It is an exciting time to come on board and help the best and brightest global talent gain the recognition they deserve. Graduate Fashion Week should be a highlight in the calendar for all those who work in the industry as well as members of the public who love to follow fashion trends.”

And Fiona Lambert, Vice President of Product and Development Design of GFW title sponsor, George commented: “2015 marks the fifth year of George’s sponsorship of Graduate Fashion Week and we are continually astounded by the wealth of talent that passes through the doors. The event is truly an inspirational showcase of the talented individuals making their mark as the next generation of the British fashion industry. Graduate Fashion Week provides a platform to nurture students and graduates looking to explore all areas of the fashion industry; from designing to buying, merchandising and marketing. This year, we are looking forward to seeing what the class of 2015 brings and may it be more diverse, creative and brilliant than ever before.”
