FORGET MUSIC FESTIVALS, FLICKERAMA IS THE FESTIVAL OF THE SUMMER...
22:03:00Hey Lovelies,
It is event time! And you lovelies, I hope, are going to love this, because I have never been so happy about somebody creating something! This should have been made a long time ago!
Flickerama is a brand new festival which will take over this summer, but instead of bands, the headliners are classic films! Whoop! Set in Oxfordshire in England, the event will take place on the 14th August until the 16th August and has been created by Tom Lawes, the director and owner of The Electric in Birmingham, which is the oldest cinema in the country that is still going.
Films set to take over the event include some big films and film inspired events, for example a 1950s party will be held to celebrate headliner ‘Back to the Future’, as well as a masquerade ball to celebrate the hit film ‘Labyrinth’, a Dude Night to celebrate ‘Big Lebrowski’, a live orchestra will play along with the film ‘Jaws’ to add extra tension and a Blues Brothers band will be celebrating the event along with a screening of the film.
The event will have a main stage for big films at the event, as well as different tents with a theme for each such as a horror one and a glamour for another, there is also a child’s tent for the little ones that will feature an extra special ‘Frozen’ treat. As well as camping and glamping facilities, food stalls, cocktails and bars, interactive events, live music, workshops, memorabilia from some top films and so much more lovelies.
I WANNA GO SO BAD!
