Over the weekend I heard the news in which I am going to share with you now, but I wasn’t sure if it was true or not and I didn’t want to raise my hopes and yours for it not to be. But now I can confirm that David Brent is making a comeback! 

As an audience member who was too young to watch the series when it first came out, I have since watched ‘The Office’ and fallen in love with it, so it will be exciting to see the return of David Brent after 12 years away from the screen. 

The film ‘Life on the Road’ follows his journey as he seeks fame and fortune. Since the office, Brent has been working as a sales rep trying to sell cleaning products around the country, but he still has dreams of being a rock star in the band ‘Forgone Conclusion’. 

However to be heard, he must do something different and so he begins his own band, that along with a tour manager who may not be as confident as he seems, he decides to go on tour around the country. 

Speaking about the new film news, Ricky Gervais says, "I’m so excited that the world will see what David Brent is up to now and where his future lies. This film delves much more into his private life than The Office ever did and we really get to peel back the layers of this extraordinary, ordinary man."

The film has been written by Ricky Gervais and will also be directed by him lovelies for an August 2016 release, so keep an eye out for more information lovelies!
